Meet the Health Professions Advisors:

 
Ann Bowen is the Pre-Veterinary advisor and is available to meet with any CSU student or prospective student who is exploring a career in veterinary medicine. She is also the advisor for the SOAR Award-winning Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club. Ann facilitates a workshop for students who are applying to veterinary school as well as a workshop for those who are preparing for interviews with veterinary programs.

Jim Zakely is the Director of Health Professions Advising in the Center for Advising and Student Achievement. He advises students interested in Pre-Medicine (Allopathic-MD and Osteopathic-DO), Pre-Physician Assistant, and Pre-Podiatry. In addition to advising the Premedica student organization, Jim facilitates the MCAT Preparation Class and the Medical School Application Workshop.
 
Students are welcome to contact Jim with questions about the medical profession or the process of applying to medical school.

Camille Ibbotson is the Health Professions advisor for Pre-Nursing, Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Dental, and Pre-Optometry. She is the advisor for Pre-Optometry and Pre-Dentistry clubs and facilitates Interviewing and Writing Personal Statement workshops for students who are applying to health professional programs. Camille also presents an Introduction to Health Professions for students who are exploring the possibility of a career in health professions.

Linda Stoddard is the Health Professions Advisor for Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Physical Therapy and Pre-Pharmacy. She is also the advisor for each of those SOAR Award-winning student organizations. Linda meets with students who are interested inmedicine  or becoming a Physician Assistant and  is  available for students who are considering a health profession but who have not yet determined the focus of their interest. She facilitates a workshop on writing personal statements and works individually with students who are in the application process and those who are preparing to interview with a professional program.
